BBC Climate Challenge is an online environmental game that focuses on policy and sustainable development over a 110 year period. Players must select international policy in negotiations with representatives from all over the world that will reduce carbon emissions while balancing vital resources. Players must strategically select policy to achieve the desired goals as effectiveness is gauged by red and green bars. A moral charge for the wealthy nations to aid the developing nations guides international affairs. An additional challenge is to support a space program for the colonization of Mars, an endeavor that is costly and sparsely supported. The final scoring is divided into three categories: environment, wealth and popularity. This game promotes environmental responsibility while also practicing decision-making and negotiation.
