This free, downloadable game teaches about the immune system and is targeted to high school and college students. The player assumes the role of a character whose immune system is not functioning, and joins a team of scientists to create a nanobot that can teach the character's immune system to fight specific bacterial and viral infections. In each game level, a new infection invades the body and the player must navigate through a 3D environment of blood vessels and connective tissue to retrain the non-functioning immune cells to defend against each new invader. Through this experience, players learn about the processes that enable the body to detect and fight infections.
