Plantville is "an innovative, educational and fun way for Siemens to engage customers, employees, prospects, students and the general public while driving awareness of Siemens technologies and brand."  The game enables players to manage their own plant and improve its health by learning about and applying industrial and infrastructure products and solutions from Siemens.  Players are assessed on a number of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including safety, on time delivery, quality, energy management, and employee satisfaction. The game provides the opportunity to explore the inside operation of a plant while keeping in mind environmental goals.  The stated goal of this game is to develop players’ managerial skills, decision-making skills and understanding of the interactions between plant productivity, economy and environmental impact.  It also promotes Siemens.
